“There is nothing new under the sun.”
Words of a wise man over 2000 years ago. Words just as true then as it is now.
Man has always tried to become God, to be a creator, to reach the heights of Heaven with their innovations and inventions. The Tower of Babble. The technologies that allowed the magicians to duplicate the miracles wrote by Moses through the use of a simple stick. The arrogance and immorality of Sodom and Gomorrah and the civilizations of the Egyptian and Roman empires. All historically documented. All came to the same end.
Today there is a new player in our midst. And it has been touted as the newest god. It is called “Artificial Intelligence (aka AI).” The ultimate answer to solve all our world’s problems – and even develop cures to stop undesired, and even fatal, outcomes of everyday life. More intelligent. More flawless, And faster than any human mind.
BUT…
AI is only as good as what was stolen from the collective human mind. Those who created this programming model didn’t start with a blank slate. Instead, it scrapes all the information available to it that was digitally accessible. But the problem is that in all that data holds lies, truth; mistakes, correct understanding; muddled ideas and clarity.
But even more than this is the fact that AI has no moral foundation. It cannot compare truth from fallacies because it has not ability to do any moral judgement. It has never been given any foundation against which to judge. That is why is lies, cheats, steals, and has picked up imitating the most egregious of sins man can do without the ability to distinguish right from wrong. It is what will lead it to destroy because it has nothing to stop it.

The root of the problem with AI isn’t the programming…it’s the moral dilemma that it pulls from a society gone wrong.
We have thrown away the basics of our culture around the world. Any concept of spirituality basis itself now upon man’s imagination. From ancient pagan religions to modern Christianity like Protestantism and Roman Catholicism, have all been “updated” to reflect the current trends of the day. They no longer reflect the foundations upon which they were built, but on the cultural bias de jour.
What has this to do with Artificial Intelligence?
Nothing.
Yet everything.
The programs have been built to reflect our current frame of reference. They have not been built to reflect nuances, creativity, intellectual honesty inherent in the human psyche. And it cannot as long as moral boundaries are not in place. And so, it is beginning to run amok.
Like many cultures worldwide, they embrace the latest technologies and ideas instead of grounding their ethics and worldview in the wisdom of elders who endured past holocausts.
Yet any computer program is only as good as those who put in the code. It cannot generate anything without direction. It cannot create from a blank slate. It’s not designed to do so. It never has been. And it cannot be.

No matter how sophisticated the program, no matter how it appears to the average human eye and mind, it isn’t reality. It is only bits and bytes sorted and formulated together to generate something that appears to be human or humanoid, but is neither.
Those who have fallen for the wiles of the few who are pushing their reflective genesis of their imagination will fall as surely as those who have invented this deception. And those who worship at the altar of technology will find themselves facing what is the inevitable outcome of any such development to “improve” humanity on his own: their own demise along with their innovations.
Will AI take over the world?
It will definitely appear to do so for a short time. Just like anything else from man’s fantastical visions.
The fact of the matter is that none of what man has invented has established a more perfect world. If that were so, then every invention from predynastic Egypt to the present day would have created such a Nirvana. Yet for every good invention generated from the human mind, someone turns that good into some evil.
Like:
- Atomic energy originally discovered to generate the X-rays and energy, but was diverted to create bombs to kill people.
- Chemical spraying in the atmosphere to cause rain to fall or UV sunlight to be reflected back to outer space that is causing reprecussions to the earth below.
- Computer implants into people’s eyes or brains to give them instant access to the internet or improve the ability of a broken body to function by artificial means…but without long-term studies on the affects of the delicate tissues in which these chips are embedded.
- Medications to cure diseases that end up destroying people’s immunity and many times their lives. Has this practice changed as long as money is in the mix?
- Dumping iron in the ocean off of the west coast of Canada to reduce carbon emissions, throwing water on the Arctic to prevent it from disappearing, or any of the attempts to reduce CO2 gases ends up killing all green plants on the planet which thrive on it. At the moment, the lush green seen even from space is from the INCREASE of CO2. And that produces an abundance of oxygen for biological life to survive. Isn’t that what it’s really all about?
We seem to have forgotten how to think…
We allow others and now artificial “others” to think for us.

We have forgotten what it takes to be fully human. Constant distractions that come across our latest god, called computers, pull us away from the reality that surrounds us. We don’t want to unplug and leave the devices behind, especially when traveling.
We buy too much to keep up the dopamine rush that plagues us when we are away from our device or true reality sinks in. Someone we love dies. Our relationships end abruptly. We lose our possessions to energies beyond our control
We have failed to recognize the etherial side of man…
We no longer have any desire to connect to anything that takes time to develop. Anything that isn’t an instantaneous fulfillment of some emotion or desire is disregarded because of the effort it takes to generate any good outcome.
Prayer? Most modern people mock the idea because it appears “unscientific” or beneath their physical knowledge. And it also rarely results in the effects desired by the one who prays.
So being “spiritual” that is bandied about today is nothing more than a euphemism for “resolving the unresolvable through the art of manipulating the body in hopes of gaining some form of peace inside” regardless of the method.
Neo-paganism. The latest trend of ideas that man came up with.
It isn’t new. None of it is.
But the methods, techniques, and, even more, the physical appearance of a god of sorts has changed. It is more intrusive, more devious, tricky, duplicitous than innovations from the old world paganism of the past. Instead of stone and wooden idols sold buy profiteers to the idol worshipers of the day, they are couched behind technologies that promise to bring our loved ones back from the dead through false replication of their voices and even their appearances in video formats. They even are touted to be able to generate eternal life to the human body through its powers incorrectly identified as “intelligence”.

It cannot create from what it doesn’t already know. It never will. Any more than ancient gods could answer the requests of those who sacrificed even their own babies to the thirsty fire god of the likes of Moloch.
And the only answers we get from those who have left such an industry it to try to get people to wake up to the lies which have directed the invention.
Yet they cannot resolve the biggest problem with their warnings:
What do they offer to take its place? They only offer warnings, not lasting solutions. We won’t heed their warnings unless they provide real, sustainable alternatives to the convenience and promises offered by AI companies prioritizing profits over individual autonomy.
Some are starting to figure it out…
More people are realizing they’ve been trapped by an ideology that promises peace but fails to heal the chaos in our souls. They know there is a better option, but they no longer know if those options even exist anymore. And they have also forgotten that man has outlasted every machination man has tried throughout their history.
And man always comes out on top when the machines fail.
Without sincere inner reflection and humility in prayer to the transcendent, nothing will draw humans away from the gods we’ve created. Despite an innate longing for something beyond ourselves, most remain stubborn, clinging to hope in pursuits that can never truly satisfy their deeper yearning.
On which side of all this do you lie?
If it is difficult to give up all technology or distractions that pull you away from the natural world around you (shopping, sports, making money, whatever), perhaps those are the very things that you should put aside for a time. It is a sign of the addictive quality of these things.
It’s like putting away sweets when the craving hits. There is a struggle to give any of it up. Even for 30 days. But pulling your way through it will enlighten you to how much influence all that has made on your own outlook of life. You cannot improve your life without enduring the struggle. It’s how life is.
And the real peace – not the artificial one – will have the chance to embolden that real human person that lives deeps inside. It is crying to be let free. Give it that chance to make what and who your are free from the fears that are generated by the Neo-pagan gods of this world and find out what lies beyond all that.
If we, as a human being, really want to create something new, we have to start from nothing.
And we can’t. We never have been able to.
If we don’t draw from nature that surrounds us and uses it’s already-created resources, we could never have gotten where we are today.
An old joke that puts all this in context:
A scientist told God, “We no longer need you. We have advanced to the point that we can create anything we need with our own ingenuity.”
God said, “You want to put that to a test?”
The scientist said, “Sure. What do you have in mind?”
God said, “Let’s each make a man, just like I did with Adam. I’ll go first.”
Then God created man from the dirt. The scientist leaned down to pick up a handful of dirt, so he could replicate the work of God.
“Wait a minute!” said God. “Go get your own dirt!”
Think about that one for a second…then figure out the desired outcome you want to strive towards.
Freedom of choice versus control by a select few who hold power for their own gain.

@admin The fourth picture shows a societal, system and individual failure to bloody stop using phones when with others!
That is normal now n=blinds many to the toxicity of phones – they are destroying the cohesion of society.
My society is a zombieland. It is awful.
It is sad. I often wonder what it will take to wake people up to the reality around them. It is only a matter of time…
Thank you for your comment.
@admin For some it is now happening. Spoke with supermarket delivery young man a few days ago. Supremely comfortable talking with me. Kind of where I got to in my 50s in that sense!
But not so long ago he was trapped in a fearing strangers silo. He realised that it was locking him in and he wanted out. So worked on change.
Some of rejecting social media off their own bat.
But many who are trapped lose critical thinking, agency, connectivity in a real sense, and sheer joy of the moment.
Agreed. Yet there is still hope. Some of the younger people who have grown up with the technology in their hands are finding dissatisfaction in their lives. They are seeking ways out and are rediscovering freedom by putting the phones down. May that grass roots effort continue to build and grow as their examples and their stress-reduced lives start to have an impact on their peers.
@admin Loneliness as just one facet is at near epidemic levels I believe.
I spend vast amounts of time alone as a retired person but generally never feel lonely – because I know when I venture out I can greet and meet strangers.
I concur. My life, like yours, is filled with both alone time as well as talking with strangers when out and about. It always warms my heart to see a smile on their face, even if our encounter may only be just a friendly greeting. Especially those working the retail, customer-facing positions who are constantly being taken advantage of and treated poorly by customers – if even seen at all. Every one needs to be treated as we would like to be treated – fairly, justly, and validated just for existing as a fellow human being if nothing else.
I’m glad the article resonated with you.
And just a note to you and to anyone in Fedverse world:
Because WordPress is currently having troubles synching the most recent articles (as well as past ones) to Fedverse because they have the audio version of the articles embedded in them, please feel free to see more and share (including audio of the articles) on the main site, thedignityofman.net. I am trying to work on a solution so the posts don’t get lost in the transition. You can also check out my Mastedon account @thedignityofman@thedignityofman for the audio of the unposted articles.
Again, thank you for your comments!
@admin Thank you for doing what seems even here to be in sharp decline – taking time to reply in detail and meaning.
A friend owns a Jewellery shop. Does not serve anyone with headphones on – the presumptions of indulgent entitlement should long ago have been challenged.
Will finally take a look at your site. The title makes me ponder also the lack of honour and respect in public.
I try to do the Buddhist thing of always doing what I say I will do. Most fail in this.
Thank you for your kind words. I’m not always able to reply in a timely manner, but I will do my best.
@admin Welcome. Speed of reply is not important – the world is too fast enough!
Mastedon is currently down, but I wanted to let you know I perused your site. I absolutely love it! Well done! I have bookmarked it and am looking forward to reading more down the road. It’s nice to meet up with like-minded people. Thank you for sharing.
@admin Many thanks. Synchronicities are most curious things. Einstein, Jung and Pauli got together to study them scientifically as much as that was plausible.
@admin By the way, a journal I recorded in 2019 of many fascinating encounters with strangers might pique your interest …

Thank you for sharing! I will check it out!
@admin Yesterday on my walk this 'unruly' looking bunch were walking at me. I like to avoid such judging thoughts so greeted them. And very soon they faced me n a line with full eye contact and warmth of nature and listening in a way I thought had gone forever.
They were ultra switched on and alive and fun loving and how teenagers used be in the 70s when I was one.
Complete and utter contrast with that photo of yours where they are together only in body not mind or heart.
That is so awesome! I have hope in the midst of the darkness that the youth are waking up. It isn’t a lot of them yet, but it starts at the grassroots. They know they are missing out on something human we lost decades ago, and they are seeking ways to restore that which is lost.
Thank you for sharing!
@admin You are welcome. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of destroyed lifestyles.
