have we become the frog in a pot of boiling water?

There is a story that a frog, put in a pot of cold water, will become comfortable, even as the water is slowly heated to the point that they will be boiled to death. It isn’t really true. Frogs aren’t that stupid and will jump out as soon as the water becomes too toasty, but the point of the story is still valid. A slow change is easier to swallow than taking the poison all in one go.

As I was researching for another article, I realized there was so much more complexity to the problems that were uncovered than could be covered in a single writing. The problem is that we have been gradually acclimatized to the rapid changes going on in the culture around us. It feels, to those who are aware, like an electronic noose tightening around our necks with no way to escape.

The initial problems began in the 1970’s when we were introduced to credit cards. Those little pieces of plastic promised easier transactions and the feeling that you could purchase whatever you desired without fear of having any money in your account to cover it.

When in programming school, I remember the more brilliant students already talking about hacking the banking systems. Pocket sized skimmers could swipe credit and debit card data from the cards in another person’s wallet as they passed by on the street.

Hacking isn’t new. As long as man found a way to steal without getting caught, they’d find a way.

The issue is that the people doing that control are no longer the hackers in the early days of computerization. The ones who are controlling the purse strings of the employees are.

Employment future…

Jobs once thought to be safe – even farming, plumbing, and other manual jobs – are quickly being targeted for human elimination by creation of robotics and AI infrastructure. We already see robotic mowers in the Big Box stores ready to take the most basic of lawn care from teens and landscapers into the hands of the homeowners with a cheaper product.¹

One content creator believed she had the perfect areas of businesses offering “AI-Proof Products,” similar to advice from financial and employment experts for the labor and financial sector. Yet even acting is being invaded in Hollywood by the use of AI generated actors and actresses.¹ Just look no further than YouTube to see the generation of deepfakes by amateurs.

The fact is that no matter what you can think of, there is a computer program and AI feature that can replicate the human endeavors. Cashiers, baggers, factory work, you name it – all are on the prospective chopping block by the elite inventors of the ultimate Utopian world.

Shopping appears to be a breeze. Just add things to your cart and everything in your cart will be automatically added up (or removed if the item is restored to the shelf). All you have to do is walk out the store and it will instantly deduct the total from your bank account or add it to your credit card.²

No income? No problem. Just sign away your rights to privacy and you can have a chip embedded in your hand. Those little devices will contain everything about you from medical records, to current location, mental health and physical condition, biometric data, and your financial transactions.³ It will have the access to income promised by the elites to everyone whose livelihood will have been forever eliminated.

Everything. These little chips have been developed and tested nearly three decades ago. The data is now processed by advanced AI programs, eliminating the need for human oversight in analyzing and managing what’s owed to those with the chip implants.⁴

It removes the autonomy and dignity of a human person.

But what is more concerning is the fact that so many younger people have no problems accepting these new innovations. They look only at the convenience factor, not the invasiveness and depersonalization that are costs that come with embracing them.

The question is “Why?”

The answer is in how long it took to implement and desensitize people to the new technologies.

When children as young as 2 are given a computer to entertain them, a teenager access to a debit or credit card, and young adult preferring to carry Venmo or other app on their phone instead of cash, they understandably think this is the norm. Willingly they will embrace whatever is sold to them in the name of “convenience” seeing no downside to all this and eschew those who try to sound the alarm against such radical infiltration of the human anatomy just for the sake of ease.

But what they do not realize is what they are exchanging for all this. It isn’t as simple as just allowing a program to have full access to your life. But the fact that the program no longer has any guardrails ethically or morally in order to determine the use or outcome of that data.

Hollywood was once actually a great prognosticator of our future world⁶ – back when it was run by actual humans with creative minds. At least 10 movies came out between 1984 and 2017 and gave a good peek into what we are going to be facing in a few very short years.

But how many people are noticing any of this?

The reality is that the human mind easily forgets. And when those in charge of the upbringing of the malleable minds of the young, be it the educational system or by the ignorance of their legal guardians, fail to give guidance and caution over acceptance of everything that appears on the horizon, those children become adults who raise the next generation of ignorant adults.

It only takes one generation to forget the past. And those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

Only this time, the repercussions are far greater than anything man has envisioned before. A perfect electronic chain to prevent growth, independence, or uniqueness.

With AI oversight, the future of the world looks extremely dark and dim.

But there is hope shining in this looming darkness…

At the foundation of all this entrapment lies one of the oldest problems with the human being. It begins with the lust for greed. And when the cumulative control of wealth is gained, it turns to the lust for control.

Those who believe they can change the world are those doomed to fall beneath the weight of those lies. Nature has a surprising way of toppling even the greatest of those powerful humans throughout the history of mankind.

And while man thinks he can build his fragile empire to control the entirety of the human race by his scientific advancements, he is sorely mistaken.

Not even Nimrod could build his tower to Heaven to challenge God. And today we have an electronic tower that has been built, even stating that these powerful people could be equated to God Himself. Even today there are those who believe that they, too, can surpass the Creator, like Yuval Noah Harari.⁷ They believe they can create like God did.

But can they truly do so from nothing?

In every case, bar none, these human possessors were thwarted. There is always something lurking in the background that they will never plan for. Something far more mundane, more natural than anything their minds could plan for.

In Psalm 135 (134 in some Bible versions) there is a prayer:

15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
    made by human hands.
16 They have mouths, but cannot speak,
    eyes, but cannot see.
17 They have ears, but cannot hear,
    nor is there breath in their mouths.
18 Those who make them will be like them,
    and so will all who trust in them.

These people now are voicing their firm commitment to overthrow the concept of a Creator beyond themselves. They have determined that they are now capable of being Creator and manifestor of all new existent beings.

But they lean heavily on the trinkets of their inventions, much like the Egyptian magicians did when challenging Moses during the captivity of the Isrealis in the Old Testament. In the end, they were defeated.

In fact, there has been speculation and replication of the inventions attributed to the Egyptians in the form of electrical energy as well.¹⁰ Were they advanced in technologies similar to where we are today? Some archeologists wonder…

Nevertheless, they were defeated when they couldn’t replicate the miracle of the sun, leading to the Israelites’ release from captivity. Even after the Pharaoh changed his mind about their release, he couldn’t overcome the final miracle—when the sea divided for the Israelites, but ended up drowning him and his army.¹¹

So, too, will these newly risen powerful people be defeated. Perhaps not without hardship on those who will not submit to their demands, but they will be overthrown.

They will become like the gods they created. Blind to reality, unfeeling toward anyone including themselves, ignorant of their actions, without a conscience, without a breath left within them. Truly, the fulfillment of the prayer in Psalm 135 will come to pass.

In the meantime, we must surrender ourselves to the real Creator and trust in the miracles He will bring to us to sustain us through these times to come. We cannot and must not depend on ourselves.

If we do, we will, also, become just like those who depend on their technological creations to make them into gods.
