It’s very difficult to be able to hold onto values that are important. No matter how it’s expressed, if there is a disagreement with what the world’s standards are, it is a guarantee that sooner or later, a shark will be at your door.
Today, objective virtues are replaced with subject opinions. No matter how strange they may seem to the common ear, they are now accepted as the norm “for that person”. Would anyone question the reason, purpose, function, or benefit of any, they would immediately be shunned at best, or completely destroyed at worse.
Such is true when it comes to religious values. This isn’t anything new to those practicing faiths that truly promote peace with others. They have been slandered and tortured for anything less than full acceptance at what passes for the perfect ideal in the culture at that time.
But when those worldly values become unhinged, changeable at a whim, or promoted as something that is natural when nature clearly does not reflect this, it becomes difficult to navigate those waters. There is nothing firm or fixed upon which to anchor a consistent belief.
What’s the point?
To a fixed believer, it’s like Icarus with wax wings, battered by the sun of opposition. Attempting understanding invites scorn and heated debate. Only those with a Faith deeply rooted in that which is beyond themselves will be able to withstand the hate.
Our lives shouldn’t be filled with such hostility. As humans capable of compassion and love, it’s troubling that more people are afraid to voice concerns about the direction of our world today. Is it any wonder most ignore or accept the unreasonable, regardless of the issue or the grounds?
We should not have to live in fear…
Yet we do. We do because we are afraid.

We fear challenging corporate pressures that threaten our livelihoods, worried that government rejection could cut off our income and benefits, leaving us unsupported. We also anxiously worry about relationships that might judge us for not being open-minded enough to accept views that conflict with our reasoned understanding of reality.
It’s time for those who preach “tolerance” to see how far it truly extends. Does it influence everyone’s views and beliefs, or only those willing to accept everything, even if it conflicts with core values?
It’s impossible to agree with everyone. We’re all different; our perspectives and beliefs vary based on our experiences—even within the same faith. We all approach life through the lens of our own backgrounds. It is what makes up the fabric of society.
And it should.
But it never happens…
History does not stand still. It repeats itself because we forget our past. We believe we can make that Utopia once and for all.
But man is selfish. Greed fuels hurt feelings and a need for validation that clashes with reality. When narratives are challenged, people turn on each other like predators. Humans are inherently egocentric, craving validation for their conflicting ideologies. Yet, within each person’s heart lies something greater—something that must be deliberately suppressed to ignore.
It is the capacity to be compassionate and to love.
Yet, within each person’s heart lies something greater
Living in harmony with the grace within us, supported by external strength that resides beyond this world, prevents us from losing hold of what we know to be true.
No longer live in fear. Rise up, refocus, and embrace new possibilities of harmony instead of accepting the unacceptable just because we’re told to. By doing so, we avoid the flames of ignorance and hatred. It is only then that we can move toward authentic acceptance and true, eternal Love.
