Fall is in the air,
So very still and clean.
The winds blow cooler now.
The leaves no longer green.
Silently the weather turns
And seasons change again.
Time continues on its course
The cycle once more begin.
Spring of life
And summer of heat
Fall of transition
And winter bleak.
Life is rhythmic.
It will always be so.
Soon Fall will be here
Winds will blow.
The leaves will fall.
The trees become bare.
Animals stash food stores
And prepare their winter lair.
We, too, feel that urge
To do all outdoor chores
Before the winter winds do blow,
And cold creeps through the doors.
So, restless heart, embrace the Fall
Before the winter chill sets in.
And set about the tasks at hand
To close a another year again.
